On March 31, 2024, the RCEP Think Tank Network (RCEPTTN) held a work breakfast meeting at the CIRD. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Yin Zhongyi, consultant to the president of CIRD. Representatives of RCEPTTN , such as Tan Sri Ong Tee Keat, President of BRICAP, Dr. Yose Damuri, Executive Director of CSIS, Dr. Chaiwat Meesanthan, Director of Institute of East Asian Studies, Thammsat Univereity, Thailand, Dr. Chheng Kimlong, President of Asian Vision Institute, Mr. Hay Sovong, Research Fellow of Institute of China Studies, Royal Academy of Cambodia. Dr. Li Yao, Senior researcher of the East Asia Research Institute of the National University of Singapore, Shane Krista Yumikura, member of the Philippine Association for Chinese Studies, and Ms. Wang Rong, International Communication Development Research Center of China Daily.

Ms. Yang Rui Vice President of CIRD, introduced the preliminary plan for the operation mechanism of the RCEP Think Tank Network, Dr. Kuang Xianming, Vice President of CIRD and Director of the RCEP Research Institute, introduced the research report on "Calculation and Analysis of RCEP Rule Utilization Index" conducted by the CIRD’s research group. Members of RCEPTTN exchanged and discussed on two key issues, namely the operational mechanism of the Network and the utilization rate of RCEP rules, and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions.
